Captain Vikram Batra PVC  was an official of the Native Indian Army, posthumously granted with the Param Vir Chakra,India's maximum and famous prize for valour, for his action during the 1999 Kargil War in Kashmir between Indian and Pakistan.

Vikram Batra was born on 9 Sept 1974 in Ghuggar town near Palampur, Himachal Pradesh, to G.L. Batra and Jai Kamal Batra. He got his main knowledge from his mom, who herself is a instructor. He obtained his knowledge up to Center Conventional at the D.A.V. Community University in Palampur and up to mature additional level in Main University, Palampur. After moving his 10+2 in 1992 from Main University Palampur, he got confessed in D.A.V. Higher education, Chandigarh in B.Sc where he was adjudged the best N.C.C. Cadet (Air Wing) in two areas. Later, he was chosen to be a part of the Native indian Army Academia in Dehradun in 1996 in Jessore organization of Manekshaw Battalion, and was requested in the Native indian Army as a Lieutenant of the 13 Jammu & Kashmir Guns at Sopore, in Jammu and Kashmir. He increased to the position of Leader.
